The M04 consists of the power turbine, whose job is to utilise the energy from the gas provided by the M03 to drive the power shaft (M01) through the reduction gearbox (M05). After the gas is used to produce energy for the power turbine in the M04, the gas is further directed with nozzle guide vanes to drive the power turbine wheel. This is located between the gas generator and reduction gearbox. With aerodynamics (similar to the power turbine), the gasses will cause the turbine to spin, generating the power which drives the power reduction gearbox and power shaft. The gasses are then ejected with the use of the exhaust system.
