Included in operation: a suspension cross-member, an attachment to the structure, an attachment to the MGB, laminated stop supports, washers, nuts of supports, lateral and longitudinal laminated stops and, laminated suspension blocks bolts, nuts of bolts.
The 2 longitudinal laminated stop assemblies absorb the shearing moments and forces on the longitudinal axis.
The 2 lateral laminated stop assemblies absort the shearing moments and forces on the longitudinal axis.
The rotor counter torque is absorbed in compression with the 4 laminated stop assemblies the 2 longitudinal laminated stop assemblies and the 2 longitudinal laminated stop assemblies.
The suspension cross-member connects the 2 laminated stop groups the 2 longitudinal laminated stop assemblies and the 2 longitudinal laminated stop assemblies.
The suspension cross-member is called a bi-directional suspension cross-member because it works on the longitudinal axis and the lateral axis.
When the aircraft is in autorotation the direction of the loads is inversed: each laminated stop is backed up by a different laminated stop which works in compression only when the torque is inversed.
If a laminated stop should fail, all of the suspension is secured by the laminated stop supports.
